We have to admit that this is one of the strangest ways we have ever seen to cook an egg. This is a pretty simple tip, and you will have to decide if you would ever use it. Seems it has stirred up quite a controversy among cooks and campers. It will be up to you to decide if it is something you would ever use.

  11. If you’re gonna go through all that than why not at least wrap the tator in aluminum foil so you can eat it also! But I’m so glad he “conveniently” had a potato on hand so he can eat his egg!

  23. i would have put tin foil around then you can eat all of it ! And no waste !

  24. I’ve seen this done where you do wrap the potato in foil and put and egg, cheese and other goodness inside so when it’s done you have a stuffed potato. No waste.

  29. Been doing this for years. Scrambled eggs & hash browns all rolled together.

  30. I’d have to wrap it in foils first at least… So you could eat the potato.. Maybe mix the egg up and pop some ham, cheese or veggies in…

  31. Cos,mid i didnt have a pan, I’d prick a couple of steam holes in the top, and put the egg itself in the embers.. Would cook the same as in the potato
